Design: Heather probably would have worn a number of different gowns if she could & we designed several different gowns that were more elaborate but once the wedding venue was settled on (Mexico) Heather wanted to be more sensible & go for a simpler sleeveless design incorporating a lovely shot silk & gold lace. We visited my lace supplier & settled on a wonderful rich French lace & in the end though the gown was fairly simple the sumptuous combination of lace & green/gold silk made it look anything but. I loved this gown & Heather looked gorgeous.

BRIDESMAIDS DESIGN SERVICE:
Although I only create the bride's gown, I realise that finding bridesmaids gowns to match is difficult & therefore offer a design service to my clientele to design bridesmaids gowns & source appropriate fabrics & trimmings for the bride to take to a dressmaker to have made up.
The colour theme for the bridesmaids & flowers, etc. was chosen after visiting the venue (The Dorchester, Park Lane, London) with Muna. One of the reception rooms had a lovely rich glow & was decorated in warm pale greens, the ball room (the main room) also had touches of the same colour. We settled on pistachio green silk with piping in a richer green & a small amount of iridescent sequinned fabric - echoing in a simpler way the Swarovski crystal detail on Muna's gown. The design chosen reflected the shape of Muna's gown & the cut deliberately kept simple enough so that a dressmaker could adapt a basic pattern to create it. Chantal.

The design was a mix of designs from my extensive sketch book, my Elizabeth gown & alot of collaboration & feedback with the client which resulted in lovely details like the laced sleeves at the wrist.
