TESTIMONIAL by Kirsten:
"An astonishing women and an incredible designer! Chantal truly creates extraordinary gowns and for me the uncertainty of not knowing what would suit me, or the ability to picture myself in it gave way to faith in a designer who would make me look the way I dreamed of. Chantal’s patience and support enabled several design changes right until the last minute when we decided to use the beautiful painted lace on my corset. A dream dress that turned every head was the result. Having had a stressful and manic time in the run up, something all brides to be will probably appreciate, there was nothing quite as helpful as sitting with Chantal for a couple of hours, in charge of the kettle, while she meticulously stitched individual pearls to the edge of the corset. Her designs are inspirational and her skills as a dressmaker unparalleled. She made my dream come true, and I finally became a princess, even if it was ten years after my husband and I first walked down the aisle. Chantal was there on the day to calm me, fit my corset, do my hair and my fantastic makeup. She also made up the most amazing bouquet I have ever seen and having not been able to afford to dry my original wedding bouquet, it is a prized possession. She also made my earrings, which I sat with her to design and matching hair slides. She and her new husband Mike were there on the day as guests as much as anything and I was lucky and proud to have Chantal a part of a day she helped make happen."
TESTIMONIAL by Viv:
"Chantal is an incredibly accurate judge of character and after a parade of white a-lines, despite my protestations, it was so liberating to find someone who was willing to put me in something really sexy and in a colour that actually suited me!
While the dress Chantal designed turned out to be absolutely perfect, and set the entire tone of the day, the design process was about more than the end product for me. Designing something from scratch can be a daunting prospect but Chantal made me feel more confident about myself by recognizing and accentuating my positive features
cont....
and knowing we both shared the same vision of how I wanted to look took away any apprehension about the end result.
By the time I walked down the aisle I looked fantastic but more importantly I felt like a goddess and that confidence made all the difference to my day.
Having my dress designed by such a professional with an outstanding eye for detail made my wedding extra special and I would highly recommend Chantal’s fitting sessions and soothing cups of tea as a tonic for even the most stressed bride. Thank you for all your hard work and helping me knock the socks off my groom and friends."

TESTIMONIAL by Kerry:
"Finding a Wedding Dress!
The thought of finding a wedding dress was terrifying, mainly because I don't have a very womanly figure. When I first met Chantal she put me into a sample corset and gave me the figure I'd always dreamt of. I couldn't believe my eyes! Boobs! And with out surgery!
Chantal is an absolute creative genius; she translated my thoughts and ideas firstly on to paper (a beautiful sketch) and then into THE dress. I trusted Chantal implicitly; she's a perfectionist which guaranties an amazingly high standard of work. My dress was exactly what I hoped it would be. Thanks Chantal."

Opposite- Kerry's design work & a close up of the detailing.
A footnote from the designer............
This gown was a lovely commission - we designed a gown with two different straps (one wide softly gathered & sculptured strap & one thin pale green strap decorated with hand painted & beaded french lace. Kerry wanted an antique look with soft muted colours & lots of subtle, blending 3-dimentional detailing which included a lovely silk rose, delicate feathers, hand painted & hand beaded french lace & swaged organza detailing on the corset. This gown took a lot of handwork & planing & it shows in the results (I new as I was making up the gown, how good it was going to look & I wasn't dissapointed).
THE STORY OF MY GOWN ~
A testimonial in poetry by Ali Macpherson (apply a Scottish accent for authenticity).
So where to start? Where to begin? How do I write it down?
The magic weaved by dear Chantal; the story of my gown.
For many months I searched the world for something for my wedding.
T'was quite a journey, that's for sure & one that I was dreading.
My vital stats demand such words as "curvy" & "voluptuous".
My big day theme more "Joi de Vivre" than boring, white or cautious.
The date was set, the castle booked, the transport: horse & carriage.
The prince was waiting, kilted up, all ready for our marriage.
All that remained was me, the bride - I knew not where to start.
We talked & talked & talked some more & drank a cup or three.
We chatted through from A-Z of how my dress could be.
And all this while, on pad with pen, she sketched with words unsaid.
Then turned the pad & there it was! The dream plucked from my head.
Just how she does it, no one knows, & that's part of the magic.
From all my rambling nonsense talk.... it's like she's flippin' psychic!
My fate was sealed, my wish came true, a princess I would be.
No longer was I dreading what my prince would turn to see.
Chantal can boost what other's can't: confidence AND your bosom.
Petite to Le Grande Dame she connects with you 'inner woman'.
Then draws her out for all to see & sprinkles on her dust.
Enchanting all her brides who've placed in her their dearest trust.
And place it well they do, you see, for never has there been.
A girl like Chantal Mallett to grant your wishes, & your dreams.
