Congratulations to Marianne who was married on the 8th December at Stoke Park.
THE STORY OF MY GOWN ~
A testimonial in poetry by Ali Macpherson (apply a Scottish accent for authenticity).
So where to start? Where to begin? How do I write it down?
The magic weaved by dear Chantal; the story of my gown.
For many months I searched the world for something for my wedding.
T'was quite a journey, that's for sure & one that I was dreading.
My vital stats demand such words as "curvy" & "voluptuous".
My big day theme more "Joi de Vivre" than boring, white or cautious.
The date was set, the castle booked, the transport: horse & carriage.
The prince was waiting, kilted up, all ready for our marriage.
All that remained was me, the bride - I knew not where to start.
But somewhere deep inside I knew, the corset tugged my heart.
A twist of fate, a lengthy chat & travel tickets pending,
I'd set a date to see chantal, my journey neared it's ending.
"Hello, I'm Ali, pleased to meet you, oh & here's a cow".
Inded that's how it started folks, it set the tone somehow!
We talked & talked & talked some more & drank a cup or three.
We chatted through from A-Z of how my dress could be.
And all this while, on pad with pen, she sketched with words unsaid.
Then turned the pad & there it was! The dream plucked from my head.
Just how she does it, no one knows, & that's part of the magic.
From all my rambling nonsense talk.... it's like she's flippin' psychic!
My fate was sealed, my wish came true, a princess I would be.
No longer was I dreading what my prince would turn to see.
Chantal can boost what other's can't: confidence AND your bosom.
Petite to Le Grande Dame she connects with you 'inner woman'.
Then draws her out for all to see & sprinkles on her dust.
Enchanting all her brides who've placed in her their dearest trust.
And place it well they do, you see, for never has there been.
A girl like Chantal Mallett to grant your wishes, & your dreams.
