It's lovely to be singled out for features like this but it would have been worth me proof reading the article in advance of publication as the editorial is inaccurate.

What I specialise in is made-to-measure, 18th century corseted based gowns & fairytale accessories, particulary Fairy Crowns.

Contrary to the article, I do not supply cloaks or fans & whilst I find all things Venetian especially Venetian architecture inspiring, it is not by any means my only inspiration. For more information on what inspires me, go to:
www.18thcenturycorsets.com/Gowns_inspiration_3.html

If you are looking for a cloak, please contact me, I can pass your enquiry on to a colleague of mine who does specialise in cloaks.

I can indeed advise on where to put a beauty spot (though none of my clients have ever gone down this route) but more importantly offer my services as your wedding day stylist & can be booked to help the bride dress, style her hair & create her make-up as well as pointing brides in the right direction for bridesmaids, menswear, other accessories, etc.

Chantal Mallett > INSPIRATION -
A SHORTER, MORE ALTERNATIVE STYLE:

Strapless, 18th century style corset with concealed fastening in crisp cotton seersucker & pink gingham & trimmed with gingham ties & Brodrais Anglaise lace. The skirt is held out with a cage & features a gorgeous waterfall back. The design also features seperate, organza, bell sleeves.

NOTE: This design is an older sample & should be viewed as inspiration. This dress can still be ordered but because some of the fabrics & trims are no longer available alternatives would need to be sourced.

Chantal Mallett > INSPIRATION:

Off the shoulder, 18th century corset with draping across the front neckline & elegant puff sleeves that are fitted from the elbow down & fasten with pearl buttons. The corset has an invisable fastening & stunning 'butterfly' cross over back. The design is picked out with gold braiding & pearl beading.

Skirts shown:
Full, ballgown skirt in silk.
Three tier, silk, waterfall skirt.

NOTE: This design is an older sample & should be viewed as inspiration. This dress can still be ordered but because some of the fabrics & trims are no longer available alternatives would need to be sourced.

Chantal Mallett > Design code C027.

New design. A variation on Elizabeth but with 7 points not 5 & made to look more crown like. Gold with pearls, crystals & glass beads.

Bride Sofia is wearing this piece in the Real Brides album.
Chantal Mallett > Design code C026.

Sparkle in silver & gold wire with ivory pearls & clear crystal AB. A very sucsessful combination.
Chantal Mallett > INSPIRATION:

Off the shoulder corset featuring draped fabric & double tied straps with fluted edging. The skirt is a simple circular skirt cut to the floor though it could be made with a small train. The emphasis on this design is on simple, natural, lines - almost tatty like a pretty peasant dress, Cinderella's 'Cinders' dress or fairytale wood sprite. To emphasise the 'tatty' look the corset fabric features frayed edges.

NOTE: This dress can still be ordered but because some of the fabrics & trims are no longer available alternatives would need to be sourced.
